Lauren Ashley, 20, hails from Griffin, Georgia and has been around music since she was a little girl. Growing up in Georgia, country music has always been a part of her lifestyle. During high school, Lauren Ashley began participating in the school chorus program landing a spot in the trio and all select chorus. While in her first year of college at Georgia Southern University, Lauren Ashley recorded her first EP of original songs and soon gained a large fan base, playing in local venues throughout Georgia.

In the summer of 2011, Lauren Ashley moved to Nashville to pursue her dream as an artist. Soon after her move to music city, Lauren Ashley won a national songwriting competition for Wake Up Nashville with her original song, Cold November. Lauren Ashley was selected to perform her award winning song at the Wake Up Nashville songwriters showcase at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

It was after her performance at the Hall of Fame when Lauren Ashley made a surprise performance at the world famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge that got the attention of a Nashville booking agent. It was this contact that led Lauren Ashley to her producers, Jeff Silvey and  Dean Scallon with Straight Shooter Music Nashville. She then began writing and recording with some of the industries top songwriters.

In addition to recording and songwriting, Lauren Ashley was named the Georgia-Country Female Artist of the Year, which was a fan-voted award. She is also nominated for the GA Music Awards in the category of Female Country Artist. Lauren Ashley has spent the last two years touring throughout the southeast and has opened for the legendary Ronnie Milsap, as well as country music sensation Luke Bryan on his 2011 Farm Tour.
