Hero (the band)

Hailing from Decatur, Georgia, HERO is a close knit group of brothers, Justin, Jerramy, DJ and Nick, ages 18, 19, 20 & 21, who are taking the industry by storm. HERO started singing in church even before starting kindergarten.

“We’ve been around music all our lives and we want to do it for the rest of our lives”, says Nick. Their musical influences are The Beatles, Queen, Coldplay, Take 6, Elton John, The Fray, Michael Jackson, Mothers Finest and Lenny Kravitz.

“Because we produce our own music and write our own lyrics, it allows us to express our emotions and share ourselves with the world” says Jerramy.

Justin goes on to say, “We don’t have a ‘box’. We are a mixture of different genres of music”. Hero’s quest is to touch every heart through their music. Real talent…real music! All four are fluent in playing instruments (guitar, bass, keys and drums) and songwriting. They aim to prove that young men in this decade can still represent real feel good music.

“Our writing ability and the way we work together makes everything mesh. We joke and play. We are very athletic. It’s all about teamwork”, says DJ. HERO credits their chorus teacher, Mr. Grigsby, who helped them learn music and believe in their career goals. Justin, Jerramy, Nick and DJ sat down and made a brothers’ pact that they would take this journey together as a team. They just might be the HEROs that the music industry has been looking for!
